Christopher E. Downes

Currently working for TeePublic in a full-time capacity as Director of Partner Design.

I oversee t-shirt and ad creative design for all of our affiliate partners, including How Did This Get Made, iHeart Media, Randy Rainbow, Bitch Sesh, and many (MANY) others. While I handle design work for our most high-profile affiliates, I also manage a team of regular freelancers who do an amazing job creating designs for the bulk of our partners.

Created t-shirt designs, email assets, and ad creative for BustedTees from 2015 until its closure at the end of 2018.

Worked at Levar Burton Kids (at the time, Reading Rainbow) creating animation assets for their Skybrary app. I would cut out characters from the existing illustrations, and prepare them so that they could be animated whenever a child taps the animation.

Currently freelancing at History Channel and A&E to create social media assets (including video, animation, and illustration) for shows like Knightfall, Hoarders, and American Farmer.

Some of the popular podcasts I design t-shirts and promo creative for include How Did This Get Made, Stuff You Should Know, Stuff You Missed in History Class, Bitch Sesh, Unspooled, and countless others.

Last year I was asked to come up with several poster ideas for the show “Disenchantment”, so I illustrated several designs, none of which were actually used (though I was thrilled to get this close to working on the Simpsons :)

Many years ago, I wrote for the Cartoon Network show “Robotboy.” I didn’t include it on this site, since it’s not technically design-related, but you can watch it on YouTube here: Robotboy
